Economic Opportunity

Universal Preschool

The Way to Wellville seeks quality preschool for all Clatsop County children. Leveling the playing field for all students is the goal for Universal Preschool. Children of all economic backgrounds, cultures and abilities have more success if they have positive preschool experiences, research shows. Universal Preschool prepares children for kindergarten so they may have a greater chance of becoming fluent readers by third grade, which is a benchmark of success in adulthood.

Way to Wellville is applying for feasibility study grant.
